À l'occasion des finales du Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour organisées par Red Bull, la rédaction a pu rencontrer Fenritti, second de la saison 1.

Vice world champion in season 1, and winner of EVO 2018 on BlazBlue: Central Fiction, Fenritti is an experienced player of the FGC.

Hello Fenritti. How would you describe yourself as a player?
Fenritti : Hello everyone, I'm Fenritti, and I'm playing for Cyclops Athlete Gaming. I'm a patient player, who try to put his opponent under pressure to put him in the corner, and exploit his mistakes. I'm forcing them to missplay, then I can deliver a final blow.

What do you think of your 2019 season?
I had better results this season compared to the previous one, so I'm quite satisfied.

Unlike your teamate Go1, you came less in Western tournaments. Is this a personnal choice, or a team decision?
The team was convinced that Go1 will qualify for the World Championship. They choose to put him under the lights, both in Asia and worldwide. For me, it's a bit more complicated, so when I go in western tournaments, it's more a favor they do to me.

What are your thoughts on the game balance, and obviously the strenght of GT Goku?
With the ability of forcing swap for several characters, it is very complicated to come back in a neutral situation. After a swap, a player is forced to defend, without having the ability of counter-attacking, or using a guard cancel. I would like to see some changes in that game mecanic. About GT Goku, his Genkidama does heavy damages, and allows the player to keep the momentum. After this attack, the GT Goku player is able to hit you frontside, backside, up and down, which is really strong. Moreover, GT Goku has some of the longest combos in the game, which allow assist to reload, making him even more powerful. Bardock had this advantage too in season 1, and they nerfed him. I don't understand why Goku GT has this too in season 2.

Do you have expectations for season 3?
There is of course this swap mecanic I talked about earlier, but I would like them to give some strenght to tall character. In my opinion, they're actually in disadvantage compared to small characters, and I'm waiting for a balance of this.

Which advices would you give to a player that want to play Cell?
The key to be a good Cell, is to use well his 5M (stand medium) and his j.M (jump medium), which are his best shots. Cell is character that has difficulty to shine if he doesn't have some energy bars, so I would recommend to play him as a mid (second character). If you want to play him as a point (first character), you should think of giving him strong beam assists like SSJ Goku, or GT Goku. Some other strong assists, like Kid Buu's one, can work as well.

Any last word?
I'd like to apologize to the fans that were disapointed during Red Bull Japan, when I used Kid Buu and other characters, while I'm famous for my Cell and SSJ Vegeta. I hope that every player will be able to play his heart characters in the future, but the most important is that you never forget to have fun when you play.
