Après le deuxième match de cette première semaine du LEC, Bwipo a accepté de répondre aux questions de la rédaction.

Good evening Bwipo. It's the first time that we've go the pleasure to get an interview from you, so could you introduce yourself by telling us which kind of player you are?
Bwipo
: I guess the best thing to know about me is that I'm the kind of player that will always fight and trade. You can count on me to put some action in the game.

You've been playing for Fnatic during the past two years, having very good results, so can you tell us what you did learn during these two seasons?
It was really different from year to year. In 2018, I was really focused on being the toplaner and the botlaner that the team needed, to get back on track because there were some problems before I joined even if the team was playing really well. In 2019 it was really different, because we were trying to build a new team, and we all had to find our marks. We were a much slower team, and I wasn't able to shine as much as I did in 2018. We had some good moments, but we lost our momentum in Summer Finals when G2 beat us twice in a row. I expect 2020 to be more like 2018, because I can really focus on being the best player maybe not at my role, even if I expect to be the best at it too, but for my team. We had some issues in 2019, because mid and jungle relationship wasn't perfect, not because of one player in particular, just because it wasn't a match. In 2020 the relation between these two roles is much better, so I really have high expectation for the team.

How is the toplane in this new season?
I think that toplane is a really strong lane actually. It's not the same thing as before, because you can't really solocarry even in soloQ, but you can have a great impact in the game if you play with your team at the right moment. With the experience nerfed in the jungle, the midlaner is the only one able keep up with you on levels, so when you hit lvl 15/16, all the other players are lvl 12/13 so you can do a lot of things because no one can really stop you if you're ahead in experience. If you want to see how to do it, you can watch yesterday's game when I played against Alphari. I took a bad pick in the situation, even if I felt comfortable with Swain, and executed it poorly, so he was able to take an advantage on me and carry the game. He played a masterpiece yesterday, and if you really want to know how to carry with toplane in season 10 you should watch this game. The only thing that I don't really like actually, is that if you fall behind in experience, you can't comeback by yourself, you need help from at least one of your mates.

The dragons are really powerful currently, but could it be worth to let the first two drakes to the ennemy as long as you get other objectives at the same time time to get four drakes of the same type after?
It really depends on the situation. According to me, the first thing the teams should be aiming for in early game is the first Herald. The easiest way to think is: if it's before 14 mn, Herald > Dragon, and after 14 mn, Dragon > Herald. The number of dragons of the same type doesn't really matter, all you want is the Soul. Dragon Soul is really powerful, no matter which soul you get. Sometimes it's just game over, because some compositions use some souls really well, or are countered by some souls, like the mountain soul counters an assassin based compo. You will never want to let the other get the soul, because it's a permanent buff. I even think that letting a Baron to get your fourth drake and the soul is worth, because a Soul is like 5k golds for your team that will stay forever.

What are Fnatic goals for 2020?
Winning everything. We had a talk during our bootcamp, and we all agreed that we want to win everything, but in the good way. We do not want to repeat the same things that we did in 2019, like having our performance peak during regular season then fall off during playoffs, like we did both in Spring and Summer. We want to be a strong contender during regular season, but to have our peak during playoffs, MSI and Worlds, having our peak when it matters the most. Moreover before G2 last year, the best European team of all time in the mind of people were Fnatic 2015, and now it's G2 2019. We want to take that title back too, and become the strongest European team of history.

Is there any player you watch and say: I've got things to learn from that guy?
TheShy. In Europe I could say Alphari, because he plays very smart, use his jungler well and don't ask for many ressources, but TheShy is on another level. When you play against this guy, you discover things that champions can do. I remember when I traded him during our matches, I was like : "I need to rewatch this, because I don't understand how did I took so much damages". I know I can beat him, but he's definitely the best player I've ever played against.

Who's the best Garen between Rekkles and you?
Rekkles for sure. (laughs) I'll go too far with Garen, getting in the heat, aiming for kill, overextending and getting killed, while Rekkles always plays very smart. He's the best Garen in our team, 100%.

Any last word ?
I want to apologize to the fans for yesterday performance, because I drafted and played poorly. Please don't blame the team, it was totally on me. I hope you'll keep cheering for us in 2020.
