Increasingly during October 2005, aAa was in total restructuring and the squads on the games Unreal Tournamenet, Halo, Quake 3 and Warcraft 3 won’t break the rule: they won’t carry the French tag anymore. Moreover, various articles and interviews suggest there will be no going back. Electronic Sport is moving on, games change and the organisation wants to stay in the ahead.

One year later, the announcement of the creation of a squad on Starcraft surprises everyone and the result is that the reactions pop and some people allude to a real wish to see Warcraft 3 again in the organisation  Against All authority.

We are in summer 2007 and the official announcement is right here : Warcraft III is back on tracks in the team. A French player has joined the team to go on with his career. This player is no more than Christophe "Wolf" Laporte. The former goodgame member, who left Serious-Gaming recently, joins the aAa organisation to pursue the adventure in France.

Wolf has been in four teams during the last three years : goodgame, Meet Your Makers, mousesports and Serious-Gaming. With hindsight, we notice that he did not even last four months in these last three European structures. He seems to appreciate increasingly the French esport scene and goodgame in which he stayed for almost three years. This tendency is confirmed by the arrival of Wolf in aAa. He will carry the tag of the three vowels’ team and will be managed by ziDwaiT, newswriter for Team-aAa and former EFC manager.

*aAa* ziDwaiT :
"We are proud to welcome Wolf back in the team. He acquired a great palmares and his career is far to be ended. We will try to continue it as good as possible in national competitions and why not international ones if results are met. The first important date will be around September or October with the beginning of the season. The first LANs will be organized around that time and it gives us a few weeks to prepare them."

We also met Wolf to ask him some questions regarding his past, present and future. He tells us more about his adventure in srs which ended up not successful.

Team-aAa.com : Is your departure from goodgame in relation with the end of the team ?
*aAa* Wolf : Not at all, I just wanted to try something else. I hoped to progress and reach thing I could not before. Like the NGL, the more professionnal side.

Your assessment ?
Hmm I am a bit disappointed. I think I have a new point of vue on how a team is managed. Regarding the relationships, things are staying at the same level as before with them, and regarding the results, I didn’t stay enough time to manage something.

Do you have something to add on your passage in Serious-Gaming ? And on your departure ?
Yes, I would like to explain what really happened. In fact, with srs things were being negociated and were not totally all right. Unfortunately, websites had already announced that we were in contact which quite speeded up the process. Finally, we didn’t reach an agreement. I didn’t like their contract and they would not change it. Moreover, i don’t like the way they worked things out with me. We simply couldn’t work together.

Do you know why your passages in european organisations are so short ?
I think that French teams have trust in my potential and they meet my expectations. European structures did not rely on me, like Serious who never trusted me. It is hard for me to work in this environment, when the team doubts of what I can achieve etc. If I am not given the possibility to show what I am capable of, it demotivates me a little bit.

Why did you choose aAa ?
In fact, I was looking for an international team which would meet my expectations and rely on me as well as let me work the way I want, without pressure. It would also have to leave me time to attend school. I didn’t find that kind of team in Europe. That’s why I looked for a French structure. I thought that the solution was just under my eyes, that aAa will be the best as possible. We spoke of that with sunscorcher and we found an agreement. Playing for aAa is like playing for goodGame. Even if there are some other good teams in France, aAa and goodgame are the two legends left of the French electronic sport scene.

Do you have any objectives?
My objectives are at national level because I don’t know how much time I will have to work at school. My objective is to become the king of France without ToD and to bring many achievements to aAa.

The last word is for you.
I thank CoxaL and the others for their help, sunscorcher for his trust. Thanks for the interview and thanks to goodgame !

As we said before, the first tournament of Wolf under the aAa tag will be in a few weeks with the comeback of the Cyberleagues ranking and the homologated LANs for the ESWC French Cup. See you soon !
