It doesn't look too good honestly. I think the game would have had a great future as an esport if Nadeo had continued to build on the foundation they created when they made this game, because I really think it is a very good foundation. But unfortunately they don't seem to agree and have chosen to go a different path, and at the same time treated the game very badly with things such as the dreadful Freezone and the promotion of TM2 as an incorrect sequel to the game as an esport. Also they have chosen to not have any sort of co-operation with the esports scene, something which I feel is extremely important and something you see in all other major esports titles these days. As a result of all this, we are currently very torn apart, hurt and divided in the community, instead of having a common shared goal as an esport. The recent disband of mythiX is a very clear and sad sign of this.

At the end of the day there's not really much we can do about it, though I've sure tried over the years... I mean, I'm sure the game will continue having a competitive scene, a scene that I will try continue be a part of as long as Nadeo keep the servers up (which they definitely will seeing as it's STILL by far their most popular game). But just keeping the servers up is not the same as a game being an "esport". And sadly without the support from Nadeo and a shared goal between them and the community, that's just not going to happen most likely.

Many players said about ESWC 2011 that was the last and this year it's again. TM2 is not so popular how directors expected so it's on a good way that TMnF stays the best supported racing game in esports.

That is a very nice question, TMNF has a future? well all that i can say is that : to me TMNF is the real game for eSports. Everyone thought for eswc and wcg they'll put TM2 but that did not happen luckily and tmnf will take place in eswc.. now there is TmT where all 128 slots were filled in few days.. that's very cool.. for STC9 there are already 28 teams sign up that's very cool im sure we got at least 60/70 teams before the tournament start.. and now i'd like say the face of those who said TMNF will die when TM2 will be out.. online is really played at least 100 and more teams plays tournaments and stuff.. the only thing that i hope every day is that tmnf will take place in more LAN's..
